Snoozy......
posting on wtlies thread i got to thinking about the shows i watched as a kid.
there were a couple that scared the &*^% out of me.
the old twilight zone where the little demon guy was on the airplane wing was really scary.
Just for the record.........I loved Dr Who!..Used to watch it with my Dad in the late 80's.
Course..I wasn't a little kid!
Golden Girl....
today my daughter is ten years cancer free.
of course, much of that is owed to the tranfusions of blood products.
products that i did not hesitate to have given to her.. with so much going on in my life (recent death in the family), this board, and just the general rush of life, this very important day nearly got by me.
I am so happy for you and your daughter. Cancer is such a cruel disease. I hope they can completly wipe it out someday!.10 years is wonderful! I don't know the whole story but "Congratulations" from the bottom of my heart!
I am so happy for both of you!
Golden Girl....
one of my favorite movies of all time is "monty python and the holy grail.
" i enjoy this movie for many reasons, but most of all for it's satire on society.
one of my favorite scenes, and i should warn you that i know them all, is when king arthur walks up to peasants in the field and tries to explain that he is king of the britons.
Good Stories
This is "As good as it gets!"......
I see the "Bright side of life today!"

I wasn't allowed to watch scary movies as a kid..but as I grew older.."Texas Chainsaw Massacre"!.. I think it really bothered me because it was based on a true story! I couldn't believe there were people that could do something like that!
The horror show based on true stories..they were the worst. The other ones I could convince myself that they weren't real!..
After reading a few of the posts...I have to agree on Karen Black's roles..
And ..I still get chills whenever I see the birds lined up on the telephone wires!........."The Birds"...
Snoozy.......
ps...As a child I wasn't even allowed to watch "Johnny Carson"...
And my parents weren't even JW's...

many professional organizations are in place that can aid in all aspects of child abuse, including therapy and even litigation.
one in georgia, funded by united way, is a good example- there are professionals in such organizations whose aim is to aid and who are not fed out of anger against an organization or others.. .

The article mentions the fee's vary. Actually they charge according to your income!...
I used it when my children were very young. Being exposed to the JW's were very nerve racking! I always though I had to be perfect!...The United way helped me a lot!..I got strong enough to leave the religion and stand up for myself!
Hubby wasn't making much money then and it was quite affordable with the way they charged! What's funny is when they talked to my younger daughter..she thought my side of the family was bad, because they were "Worldly"...and she thought hubby's side was "good" beause they were JW's. And I helped teach her that!..The counselors sure know what questions to ask..things we would never think of!...
Just putting in a plug for United Way......
Golden Girl...aka..Snoozy..
i've been dealing with so much stuff lately, and thinking that i was "doing alright".
i'm not on any medication.
i have had emotional issues due to times of severe stress years ago, and took medication, but the main thing is, i worked through all of that.
Let's try this again!

simply stated mr bowen should leave some of his judgements and thoughts to be shared with only his wife and very close friends.
given the spotlight that he has put himself in he is doing a lot of damage to his reputation and credibility.
my heart goes out, not to mr bowen- he took this road by choice- but to the abuse victims that he claims to offer aid and support to.
Thanks Kelsey! I get called "Stupid" enough by my JW MIL when I try to reason with her or tell her things !
Little sensitive to the word!
